By Denise Wakeman MySpace is not only for teenagers and musicians. MySpace is also making a buzz among Internet marketers. At the invitation of Internet marketing guru Marlon Sanders, I set up a profile to see what the buzz is all about.
Marlon calls it "...a secret networking method the people on the inside are using." Being the active experimenter that I am, once I got started, I couldn't stay away from MySpace, setting up my profile, posting on my blog, adding events to the public calendar. As I poked around, I thought about how this networking space could work for professionals as a business tool. It's pretty easy to set up a profile and it's free. If you're using it as a business tool, be professional about the information you reveal. Remember MySpace is ultimately a SOCIAL tool and many people use it to hook up for dates and relationships. If that's not your intent, keep your content business-oriented. What I noticed in looking at random profiles is that most are sloppy and incomplete. A lot have no information about the person and no photo. What's the point? My sense is that a lot of profiles get set up and then abandoned, much like blogs. So can you use it as a marketing tool for your business? My guess is yes, if you're very strategic about how you go about it. Use your "About Me" section to talk about your business, products and services. Make sure you have active hyperlinks that lead to your primary website, blog and products. It's a good idea to have a basic knowledge of HTML so you can add images and clickable links.
Use the blog module to write about your business and events.
Send "bulletins" through the MySpace system to all your "friends" about your product launches, press releases, events, etc.
Join MySpace groups that represent your target audience. Participate in discussions and send bulletins to everyone in the group. No spamming!
Post your events on the public calendar
As you add new friends, welcome them and you'll be on your way to building a community. A way to approach this from a business angle is to think of your "friends" as possible joint venture partners and potential business opportunities. And, as we like to say, it's another line in the fishing pond for attracting prospects, building your list and your network.

Acupuncture - Traditional Chinese Treatment

It is believed that traditional Chinese medicine originated around 2500BC and is one of the oldest forms of treatment. Acupuncture did not really become well known in Western countries until the 1950s, except for the few Chinese practitioners treating Chinese patients in those countries such as Britain. Today, even some orthodox physicians are trained in acupuncture and are incorporating it with western medicine and achieving great results. Acupuncture is centered on Tao philosophy, like the other forms of Chinese medicine. It is based on the philosophy that a vital energy (force) flows along invisible channels in the body with the inseparable opposing forces of yin and yang, which govern each person. 'Yin' is a masculine, active and positive force and 'yang', a female, passive and negative force. When this energy (chi) freely flows through these invisible channels (meridians) and the yin and yang are balanced, the result is health. If the yin and yang are unbalanced and the chi is blocked, the results become noticeable in the form of illness. The purpose therefore of acupuncture is to correct these imbalances and unblock the meridians, allowing the chi to flow freely once again in the body restoring the patient to physical health. Another form of acupuncture called auricular therapy is based solely on the external ear, which contains its own acupuncture points. This type of therapy is very useful for acute conditions. People suffering from allergies, asthma, bronchitis and other conditions may benefit by acupuncture. Acupuncture is also helpful in relieving pain. Acupuncture aids the body to release its very own pain-reliever, known as endorphins, which has effects similar to morphine. The success of the acupuncture also depends on the responsiveness of the patient. Some people seem to be more responsive than others especially children that receive treatment. During the initial consultation the practitioner will ask questions about the patients history, the present complaint, life style, diet and exercise routines and emotional health. Skin colour, the state of the nails, eyes and tongue, body odour and careful examination of the pulse points form part of the diagnosis. The human body contains 59 meridians and about 1000 pressure points. To treat imbalances the acupuncturist will stimulate the pressure points that occur along the meridians. Inserting fine, solid needles into the skin, applying heat and fingertip pressure form part of stimulation. The points involved are usually found on the forearms, hands, feet and lower legs. Sometimes all three methods of stimulation may be used. Treatment may include recommendations on diet and exercise. Always ensure you choose a fully trained and registered practitioner when seeking acupuncture treatment. Inform the practitioner of any orthodox treatment you may be receiving before diagnosis or treatment in acupuncture. Acupuncture is most often used in conjunction with Chinese herbalism, as it can be contraindicated with some forms of complementary therapy. Parents should always consult an acupuncturist who has had special training in the treatment of children, before embarking on a diagnosis in acupuncture. What You May Not Know About House Churches

By Michael Tummillo As many of you are aware, I am a strong advocate of The Church, the 'ekklesia.' Though many have heard that word, surprisingly few are aware that it is NOT a religious term. Actually, it is a Greek word that means "the called out ones." It referred to a forum of Roman men - a council - that the Roman Empire would send into any region that its armies had conquered so that they could teach their captives to become Roman citizens. Get that? Rather than crush their defeated foes, wipe them out, they allowed them to remain as farmers, blacksmiths, shopkeepers, etc. so that they could collect their taxes and assimilate them into Rome's culture. Again, Rome's goal was to make them Roman Citizens. The early Christians related to the Roman concept of ekklesia and saw the similarity of their mission. So, they adopted the term for themselves. The concept was short-lived, unfortunately, as the Empire struck back! Constantine declared Christianity the state religion and, at that moment, the ekklesia lost its impact. Through the generations, any time any group has attempted to return to New Testament Christianity and revive the ekklesia, they were ostracized, persecuted and murdered by the thousands - even by others who called themselves 'Christians.' Philemon 2 ...and to the church that meets in your house; Colossians 4 ...and the church in her house; Romans 16 ...also the church that meets at their house...although we read these verses and others, sometimes wondering what that style of Church-life was like, we forget that, throughout the planet to this day, Christians STILL gather in homes. Likewise we forget that, even today, many of these brothers and sisters still face persecution and even death. What do we mean by 'House Church?' Some call them simple churches. Others use the term 'organic churches'. The Bible refers to them simply as "the Church." By definition, they are rapidly multiplying, simple communities of believers, meeting in homes, offices, campuses...wherever God is moving. This is the pattern common to many parts of the globe, and is now becoming more and more common in the U.S. as well. Where are two or more are gathered in His name, there is Church. "N" stands for Nurturing Relationships (loving one another deeply)
"A" stands for Apostolic Mission (being on Jesus' mission to the world)" Buildings, programs, titles and professional clergy are NOT essential elements of a church. Never have been. That happened when the ekklesia attempted to get organized and even began blending itself with pagan religions. Let's bear in mind that Constantine took the title Pontificus Maximus (highest priest, forgetting that Jesus Himself is High priest) and was head of ALL things spiritual, Christian and pagan. He did what anybody would do, choosing the path of least resistance and merging the two extremes the best he could. Do you see what happened to the early Church? She became absorbed in the ways of the world. The House2House site continues: "By 'simple church', we mean a way of doing and being church that is so simple that any believer would respond by saying, "I could do that!" "By 'house church', we mean the kind of church that is described in the New Testament. Not constrained by structure but by the needs of the extended family of God, and driven by a desire to extend the Kingdom of God." This style of Church can more easily listen to God and mobilize, led by His Spirit and obeying His commands. One day a gathering can be a healing center. Another time, a teaching center. Another time a worship center. Another time, a fellowship hall. Another time, a prayer meeting. We can mix and match and we can spontaneously load up the cars and head out to minister to others as well (my first gathering was a dinner where a woman called threatening to kill herself. We left our meal and sped over there. She's doing fine these days.) We're describing a family who shares the same Father; not a heavenly being inthe clouds but One who dwells within and works through us. We have a greater opportunity to become spiritual parents raising spiritual sons and daughters to establish their own families in their own realm of influence. Church as unusual This kind of church may or may not meet in a house. It can meet anywhere we are because we ARE the Church. Statistics reveal that people are leaving traditional church to find God. Traditional churches are shrinking while house churches are growing. Personally, I have met with groups in coffee shops, hair salons, bank conference rooms, bed and breakfasts, a spare room over a noisy bar, hotels and nursing homes. Church Planting Movements (apostling) occur when simple churches multiply rapidly. And they DO multiply rapidly. Why? because unlike traditional churches, individuals gathering in homes are free to explain the concept at their friends' homes or offices, attracting an entirely NEW group of people instantly within that sphere of influence. If the individual has an opportunity but is a novice, no problem! More experienced people are always available to assist. It's NOT rocket science, as you can tell. The spiritual climate is RIPE for this outreach today. People are SO receptive to this concept of Church and becoming more so all the time. Does this style of Church lower the quality of disciples? Absolutely not! While no structure or format can guarantee quality, we believe that the small, participatory, family-like environment of a simple church is ideally suited to the goal of helping people become passionate disciples of Jesus Christ. The proof is in the pudding and there are multitudes of testimonies to back that claim. As you see, this is not really a new concept but a very old "new" idea. Two more examples from Scripture include: "Greet Priscilla & Aquila, my fellow workers in Christ Jesus. They risked their lives for me. Not only I but all the churches of the Gentiles are grateful for them. Greet also the church that meets at their house." Romans 16:3-4 "But when the Jews opposed Paul and became abusive, he shook out his clothes in protest and said to them, 'Your blood be on your own heads! I am clear of my responsibility. From now on I will go to the Gentiles.' Then Paul left the synagogue and went next door to the house of Titius Justus, a worshiper of God." Acts 18:6-7 Acts 16 shows us examples of others. Does this 'movement' hurt the local Church? If by that we mean do House Churches strengthen the Body of Christ in our nation, the answer is a resounding YES! This IS the local Church! Those affiliated are being taught that the traditional Church is NOT the enemy. They are our relatives in Christ. Fact is, of those 22 Million who say they attend home groups, only 3 Million do so exclusively. The balance claim to be Members of traditional denominations (whether they actually participate or are content to have their name on the role is another matter). When statistics reveal that "church as we know it" is shrinking in America and house church affiliates are increasing by around 4% annually, personally, I see it as a move of God. My recommendation? By Chas Oliver Contrary to what some people may think, being in a down mood is not a cause for concern. What is a cause for concern is being in a constant elevated or unconcerned mood: these states are symptomatic of mental disorders. But being in a down mood is normal and even healthy -- depending on how often youre in a down mood, and how long your down mood lasts. Every human being functioning on a normal psychological level has an unpleasant emotional outlook at times. We dont live in Happy Land: we live in a reality state that is sometimes harsh and painful. It is to be expected, it is normal, to emotionally react to our circumstances. Dysfunction sets in when reaction to life circumstances is chronic, or inappropriate. As an example, a person attending their best friends funeral who is overtly upbeat and cheery is giving signals of mental distress: the bereaved friends reaction is inappropriate for the circumstances. Perhaps intervention is called for in such a case, perhaps it isnt, but observation is certainly a good idea. Conversely, a person who openly cries over their best friends death every day for three weeks is also displaying dysfunction: in this case, the bereaved friends considerable emotional upset has become chronic. world is so seldom found unless we know Christ as our

now have a renewed and refreshed strength to keep up my
walk with Him. Peace afterall is an attribute of God's and He
wants us to have what He has. Since it is the chief end of man to serve a loving,faithful God
(not the other way around) doesn't it make sense to be crazy
in love with Him?This is a Father who sits on the throne in
heaven and rules the universe. Anyone who knows all the
stars by name,can measure out the waters in His hands
and balance out the mountains and even knows how many
hairs are left on my head is certainly someone that
deserves all my praise,honor and glory.

The woman can't be interested because this man clearly doesn't appear to be confident. And if the man decides to approach her, she has already made up his mind about him; he's NOT comfortable in his own skin in relation to her and that's what matters the most. How can she be interested in him at all or allow things to develop to a physical or dating phase if she herself is nervous around him?! Try as hard as they can by learning pick-up lines or breathing exercises, most of these men just can't 'act' confident around these beautiful women. This is where it all begins and it's unfortunate that so many guys keep looking for the surface level band-aid solution when it's a much deeper problem.
